Cassandra Sweet

She obtained a political science degree from Stanford University, and holds both a PhD and Master´s degree from the University of Cambridge. She is currently a professor of the Institute of Political Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

Her work focuses on economic policy, addressing various issues such as development and international trade, drug regulation, intellectual property, and innovation systems. She has worked on projects for various NGOs and international institutions including the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the World Bank and the World Health Organization.

She is currently in charge of FONDECYT research, on innovation in Latin America.
